Croquis De Concept: Spider & The Fly

A few months ago some friends and I started discussing the idea of a group project. Well that project has arrived! Croquis De Concept: Spider & The Fly is a collection of art by myself, Chris Carman, Albert Troung and Grant Alexander. We took a theme, (Spider & The Fly) and each came up with some concept sketches. Four Artists, four different looks! 40 pages of concept hotness will be sold by us in person at Wondercon, February 27-March 1 in beautiful San Francisco! We’ll be at booth 319  hanging out. Come by and say “hi”, maybe buy a book so we don’t feel like total self important jackasses!

Binge Blogging!

Four posts in a day might be excessive, but I feel like sharing. I think I let Pan’s Labyrinth influence me a little too much here, but it’s still a fun sketch.

FIRE ISLAND!

Filed under: Photoshop, Environments, work — November 25, 2008

Well not exactly. This was also done for SEGA’s Ironman Video game. It was my first take on a enemy facility in a volcano. In the end it looked nothing like this, but it’s one of my favorite images from the project.

Sometimes I do a drawing that both grosses the hell outta me and makes me giggle.

I did these awhile ago for Sega’s Ironman Game that came out last summer. It’s nice to finally post it.

Doodle-riffic

I did these sketches awhile ago, thought they would be fun to share. I tried to make the traditional barbarian costume out of sci-fi stuff. Good times.

Abstraction is pretty neat

Lately I’ve been getting a lot of inspiration from artists like Klimt. Absrtaction, it turns out, can be a very powerful tool.

I did this a while ago. Finally get a chance to post it. There’s a story behind the picture, but unfortunatly I can’t get into it.
